Proctor Area Youth Baseball Board Openings

Open Positions:

Vice President - The vice president presides in the absence of the president, works with other officers and committee members, is ex-officio member of all committees, and carries out such
duties and assignments as may be delegated by the president.


Concession Manager

  • Maintains the operation of concession facilities
  • Organizes the purchase of concession products
  • Responsible for the management of the concession sales at league events
  • Schedules volunteers to work the concession booth during league events

Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator

  • Manages the league's official home page on proctorbaseball.org
  • Manages the online registration process and ensures that league rosters are maintained on the site, assigns administrative rights to league volunteers and teams
  • Collects, posts and distributes important information on League activities including direct dissemination of fund-raising and sponsor activities
  • Organizes and implements approved league fundraising activities
  • Coordinates participation in fundraising activities

Level Coordinators

  • Represents coaches/managers in respective levels league;
  • Distributes training materials to players, coaches and managers;
  • Helps implement training drills to respective level coaches
  • Distributes schedules (practice and games) as necessary
  • Fundraising/Sponsorship Coordinator
  • Solicits and secures local sponsorships to support league operations
  • Collects and reviews sponsorship and fundraising opportunities
  • Maintains records of monies secured through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives

Equipment Manager

  • Oversees all aspects of PAYB playing equipment.
  • Determines playing equipment needs for all PAYB programs.
  • Works with PAYB board on playing equipment budget
  • Purchases and supplies playing equipment as approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Supplies all teams with Official Regulation Equipment, Score-books and Game Balls.
  • Maintains accountability of all equipment distributed to Managers and at locations.

You also may nominate another association or community member to fill one of these roles (will be confirmed by Andy). Upon receipt of a nomination, you will complete a brief board member application. All nominations must be completed by Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Intermediate 6th and 7th
Juniors 8th and 9th

 

Parent and Coach Code of Conduct

As a parent/legal guardian of a child involved in a program of Proctor Area Youth Baseball (PAYB), I agree to abide by and follow the rules and guidelines below.

  1. I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of the athletes ahead of any personal desires.
  2.  I will remember that my child plays baseball for his/her enjoyment, not mine.
  3.  I will encourage good sportsmanship through my actions, by demonstrating positive support for all players.
  4. I will provide support for coaches and officials working with the athletes to provide a positive experience for all.
  5. I will demand my athlete treat all players, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex or ability.
  6.  I will treat all players, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators with dignity and in language, attitude, behavior, and mannerisms.
  7. I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my athlete or the safety of others.
  8. I will respect the property and equipment used at any sports facility, both home and away.
  9. I will let the coaches’ coach and if I have a problem, I will wait 24 hours before approaching coach.  If I still have concerns or prefer, I will contact the team manager and/or Level Coordinator. If this does not result in a satisfactory conclusion, I will contact a member of the PAYB Executive Board.  
  10. I will remain in the audience during a game and not approach the players’ dugout.
  11. I will remember that I am always representing PAYB, whether at our field, a tournament, or on social media.
  12.  I will encourage any spectators with me to follow these same guidelines.

I understand that by signing this document I am agreeing to support and promote this Parent/Legal Guardian Code of Conduct Agreement.  Further, my failure to comply with this Agreement or my participation in any of the defined CONDUCT SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINE will result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from Proctor Area Youth Baseball and its affiliate member associations.
